In the spotlight: Charlotte – Hair Apprentice
Hair Apprentices are the next generation of Hair Stylists and at Obsession Salon & Spa we pride ourselves that we have a supportive programme for all of our Hair Apprentices.
We are lucky enough to have a continuous influx of hair apprentices. They often join us straight from school and work in the salon and study for their formal qualifications at the same time.
When Charlotte first joined us as a hairdressing apprentice, she brought with her a genuine love for hair. Charlotte throws herself into learning every aspect of the craft, from cuts to beautiful blow-dries. And she’s also begun to learn some of the technical science around colour.
Developing skills as a Hair Apprentice
As a L’Oreal salon we receive regular training from L’oreal on new colour techniques. And from Kerastase we hear all about how to care for hair of all types. Charlotte has absorbed all the information and spent her time on the salon floor, shadowing our experienced stylists in order to perfect her skills and build her confidence.
During her hair apprenticeship, Charlotte has:
✅Learned how to cleanse and condition different hair types;
✅Learned how to deliver our unique Obsession Welcome Massage;
✅ Mastered the foundations of cutting for all hair types and lengths;
✅ Developed impressive styling skills for blow-dries;
✅ Learned how to mix, apply, and care for colour;
✅ Gained invaluable experience in client consultation and delivering an exceptional salon experience.

In a few months, Charlotte will take her exams to become a qualified Graduate Stylist. It’s a big milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career.
