Senior Stylist, Annabell travelled to London to begin her journey on the prestigious Kerastase Care Coach programme. Annabell was selected alongside a small group of stylists from across the UK and will be undertaking a year of training to strengthen her professional knowledge of hair health, scalp health and personalised hair care. As a leading Kerastase salon in Lichfield, this investment ensures we continue to deliver the highest standard of professional haircare for all of our guests from consultation to blow dry and from hair health to hair colour.

Learning from the experts at L’Oreal in London

Annabell’s first training session took place in London, where she joined fellow selected stylists to learn directly from the education team at L’Oreal and Kerastase. Over the course of the next year, she will attend a series of in-person and online training modules, working closely with Kerastase educators to develop her expertise.

These sessions focus on:
• How important the initial consultation experience is to meet our guests’ haircare needs;
• Advanced hair and scalp diagnosis;
• Understanding the science behind luxury haircare formulations;
• Creating bespoke haircare routines tailored to individual client needs.

What it means to become our Kerastase Care Coach

After completing the programme, Annabell will become our official in-salon Kérastase Care Coach – our expert dedicated to helping guests understand their hair at a deeper level.
This means:
✔ More advanced hair health consultations;
✔ Bespoke product recommendations tailored to individual’s needs;
✔ Expert guidance on maintaining salon results at home.

Afterwards, Annabell will share her training with the rest of our stylists which will strength the expertise across our whole team at our luxury hair salon in Lichfield.

Apprentices are a key part of our business

We currently have two amazing apprentice hair stylists training with us and we’re excited to be recruiting for a third to join us very soon. Apprentices have always been a key part of our business, and after nearly 40 years in the industry, we’re passionate about giving back to the local Lichfield community by supporting young adults at the very start of their careers.

Our apprenticeship programme

Our apprenticeship programme is hands-on, supportive and designed to build confidence as well as technical skill. Apprentice hair stylists study at college alongside working on the salon floor, learning in real-life situations with real clients.

Always looking for models for our apprentices

.We’re always on the look-out for models for cuts, colours, hair-ups or gents hair so if you’re interested, please give us a call on 01543 254137 and ask to be added to our model book. All of our apprentices are overseen and mentored by Kerry, our Creative Director, who ensures our Apprentices practice what they learn at college in a structured way.

L’oreal training for all apprentices

As a L’Oréal salon, all apprentices also have access to the L’Oréal online education portal and we regularly host in-salon training days with L’Oréal educators demonstrating the latest products and techniques to the whole team. Once qualified, apprentices progress to Graduate Stylist and begin building their own client column so this is a genuinely exciting and well-supported career path.

Current apprentices

One of our apprentices, Shelly, joined us with previous salon experience and has already her Level 2 qualification. She’s now working towards her Level 3, developing her technical skills and customer care skills in our busy salon. Our Obsession customer care programme consistently earns us 5-star reviews, so we’re incredibly proud to share this with our apprentices.

Alongside Shelly, we’re delighted to have Lena, another dedicated apprentice who is eager to learn and full of ambition. Lena dreams of opening her own salon one day, and we love supporting her as she builds the skills, confidence and industry knowledge to help make that dream a reality.

We’re currently recruiting for a school leaver to start their apprenticeship journey with us. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about hairdressing, keen to learn, and excited to be part of a supportive, professional salon environment.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Hair Apprentice to join us at our salon in the centre of Lichfield. You will work towards your Level 1 or Level 2 qualification with one day at college and the remainder of your week in salon receiving training from our experienced L’Oreal trained team of Stylists and Colourists.
